Terms & Conditions (Hollywood Groove)

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of Hollywood Groove’s website, app, ticketing, and live event experience (“Services”). By using our Services or buying a ticket, you agree to these Terms.
If you don’t agree, don’t use the Services.
1) Who we are
Hollywood Groove (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates [hollywoodgroove.com.au] and related event services.

2) Tickets, entry, and refunds
Ticket sales

Tickets are sold via [ticketing provider] or directly via our Services.

Your ticket is valid only for the event date/time and venue shown.
Refunds

Refunds are handled in line with Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and the ticketing provider’s refund rules.

If an event is cancelled, you’ll be offered a refund or alternative options where available.

If an event is rescheduled, your ticket will generally remain valid for the new date unless otherwise stated.

Change-of-mind refunds aren’t guaranteed (especially for third-party ticketing), unless required by ACL.
Entry conditions

You may be refused entry or removed if you behave in a way that is unsafe, disruptive, or illegal, or if you breach venue rules. In serious cases, this may be without refund.

You must follow staff and venue directions.
3) Participation in interactive activities
Hollywood Groove includes interactive elements (e.g. nominations to sing, stage participation, trivia, audience participation).
By participating, you agree that:

Participation is optional and at your own discretion.

We can set reasonable participation rules (e.g. time limits, content restrictions, safety requirements).

We can decline, cancel, or end participation at any time for safety, fairness, technical, or operational reasons.

You must not use the app or mic/screen content to harass, threaten, discriminate, post illegal content, or disrupt the show.
Health and safety

If you go on stage, you’re responsible for taking reasonable care for your own safety and following instructions.

If you are unwell or impaired, you should not participate on stage.
4) Content you submit (and what we can do with it)
If you submit content through the app or our Services (e.g. a nomination message, trivia responses, comments, photos you upload, etc.), you:

Confirm you have the right to submit it

Agree it must not be illegal, offensive, defamatory, or infringe someone else’s rights
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, display, and adapt that content as needed to operate and promote the Services (for example: showing it on screens at the venue, moderating it, or sharing highlights).
We can remove or moderate content at any time.
5) Photos, video, and recordings at events
Our events may be photographed or recorded (including crowd shots and stage participation).
By attending, you consent to being recorded and for us to use your image/voice in marketing, social media, and promotional materials, unless prohibited by law.
If you have a specific concern (e.g. safety/privacy reasons), contact staff at the event or email [hello@hollywoodgroove.com.au] and we’ll take reasonable steps to assist (note we can’t guarantee removal from all third-party content).
6) Intellectual property
We own (or license) all intellectual property in our brand, website, app, show format, visuals, and content (excluding user content). You must not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer any part of our Services unless the law permits or we provide written permission.
7) Acceptable use
You agree you will not:

Attempt to hack, disrupt, scrape, overload, or interfere with the Services

Use bots or automation to misuse the app or voting/nomination features

Circumvent security or access controls

Use the Services to harass, threaten, impersonate, or defame anyone

Break any applicable law
We may suspend or block access if we reasonably believe you’ve breached these Terms.
8) Third-party services and links
Our Services may integrate with or link to third-party services (ticketing, payments, social media, analytics). Those third parties have their own terms and privacy policies. We’re not responsible for third-party platforms.
9) Service availability and changes
We aim to keep the Services running smoothly, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may change, pause, or be withdrawn at any time (including during events) due to technical, venue, safety, or operational reasons.
10) Liability and consumer guarantees (Australia)
Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer guarantees that can’t be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
To the extent permitted by law:

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (like lost profits, lost opportunity) arising from use of the Services or attendance at events.

Our liability for breach of a consumer guarantee may be limited (at our option) to resupplying the Services or paying the cost of resupply, where the law allows.
You attend events and participate in activities at your own risk, subject to ACL.
11) Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us for losses reasonably incurred due to your breach of these Terms, unlawful conduct, or infringement of another person’s rights.
12) Privacy

13) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia (unless your local consumer law requires otherwise). Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Victoria.
